Mechan started life in 1969 as a supplier of lifting equipment to the steel industry and continues to be a world leading manufacturer of Jib Cranes for the Steel Processing, Power Generation, Petrochemical and Marine markets. Following diversification into other areas the company now enjoys success at home and overseas and produces a myriad of products, including a standard range of depot maintenance equipment for the rail industry, which accounts for more than half of Mechan’s turnover.
