The RailStaff Awards started in 2007 the aim of recognising the heroic people in the UK rail industry.
As publishers of RailStaff, we saw great achievements, courage and bravery from rail staff in every edition - yet nobody was saying 'thanks' or 'well done'.
On the face of it the RailStaff Awards is a ceremony recognising courage, bravery and professionalism of the people who deliver the railway - from drivers to cleaners, and engineers to station staff. Often these are stories of lives saved, careers turned around and adversity conquered.
However the evening is much more. It's a great networking opportunity and a fantastic party where invites to partners are encouraged, as we celebrate our industry. 2013 will see over 1,000 people in attendance with wonderful food, music, dancing, floor shows, and a theme. The RailStaff Awards 2013 theme will be announced in June.
