MPI Ltd
MPI Ltd became involved in the rail industry in the late 1980’s when we began our relationship with Westinghouse Signals. Initially MPI supplied them with technical staff based at their Chippenham headquarters and numerous sites throughout the UK.
During the 1990’s MPI became involved with various rail companies and diversified into other areas of the industry. A major contract was negotiated with Taylor Woodrow on the refurbishment of underground stations and installation of ticketing systems. This subsequently opened the doors in London Underground.
In 1998 MPI completed a contract in Hong Kong for GEC Alstom, working on the signalling system on the Mass Transit System. MPI have also been very involved with the rolling stock arm of the industry both in the UK and overseas in countries such as Finland, Poland, Norway, Switzerland, and Italy.
Our reputation has expanded our client base, South East Trains, Wabtec Rail Ltd, Amec, Amey Rail, W.S. Atkins, G.E.Transportation, Carillion plc, Mouchel Parkman-Servirail, May Gurney, Balfour Beatty to name a few.
During the past 7 years, the rail industry has seen major changes due to regulations and safety demands made by Network Rail, MPI has introduced a dedicated Competence Management System to control and monitor the quality of labour supplied from a safety aspect and technical competence. MPI has a superb record with regard to safety, which has become our number one priority in this ever-increasing business.

This has increased the confidence of our clients in the services that we supply and has lead to MPI Ltd. being accepted as an approved supplier to Network Rail.
