Based in Northamptonshire, a leading diesel distribution service company is recruiting an After Sales General Manager. You will be responsible for the management of after sales for the Rolling Stock Rail Market Sector.

They offer a salary up to £55K which also includes a fantastic benefits package.

Role:
• Key decision maker, leading and driving improvements.
• Maximise performance through effective asset management.
• Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to meet performance targets. Review the progress and take action to deliver the agreed objectives.
• First Class Customer Satisfaction through effective running of the business.
• Understand market requirements and the product plan so you can set the direction of the Rail business.
• Liaise with BU’s on strategy and planning.
• Submission of Reports, Forecasts, Market Studies, Project Charters, Business Plans and Business Case Assessments.
• Set Rail market place pricing strategies and price structures.
• Co-ordinate the Rail market activities and objectives.
• Develop and manage a strong team with the correct mix of skills.
• Staff Performance and Development. This will involve focusing, guiding, encouraging, developing, training team members to exceed their potential and meet company objectives.

Experience Required:
• Successful candidates will have experience in contract management of Rolling stock maintenance programmes
• Excellent knowledge of UK Rail industry rolling stock products and services.
• Knowledge of diesel engines
• Broad understanding of business needs with the ability to provide strategic direction.
• Customer Account management at a senior level.
• People management skills
• Able to work at different levels of management.
• Equipment and aftermarket experience in sales management.

Education/qualifications required:
Successful candidates will hold a Business management qualifications or engineering degree preferably mechanical.

Candidates must also hold a Driving Licence:
