Currently we are looking to start an apprenticeship within out Metro group. The telent matro business is responsible for the design, installation and commissioning and maintenance of a diverse range of operational communications systems for the London Underground
•To carry out maintenance activities on communications systems, and to ensure effective restoration/repair of customer systems
•The telent Metro business is responsible for the design, installation and commissioning of a diverse range of communications systems on the London underground. The successful applicants will rotate around the three departments of the Metro business completing maintenance activities.
•Perform all work tasks under supervision; Unload, check, handle, store and prepare equipment for maintenance, installation or commissioning. Erect, mount, fit and assemble equipment. Cable, connect and terminate. Always adhere to the provisions of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Hardware repairs and modification. Understand and adhere to Health & Safety (H&S) and London Underground Procedures.
•Perform all work tasks under supervision; Perform repair and restoration to service tasks across the range of the client assets under contract. Perform installation and commissioning tasks and local directives. All in accordance with H&S and London Underground Procedures.
•To produce and communicate Work Experience logbooks and timesheets at the end of each week allowing the Management team to monitor effectiveness
•Adhere to Transport at Work Act with particular attention to the Drugs and Alcohol Policy and telent’s H&S policies and procedures
•You will be required to work in potentially hazardous locations on the London Underground, including on the railway track, and must be in good health with normal colour vision and hearing.
•Candidates must meet our strict policy on Drugs and Alcohol. Our Drugs and Alcohol Policy is intended to ensure we comply with the safety legislation that applies to safety critical work on railway systems.
•This role includes working unsociable hours including working nights, shifts and some weekends.
Business Operations Skills – Experience:
•Candidates selected must have a good/excellent school attendance record.
•All candidates should be able to drive with no medical complaints that exclude them from driving, as this is an essential requirement for the business.

Business Operations Skills – Qualifications:
•Have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade C and above in Maths, English and IT or a Science related subject
