Assistant Project Manager –Rail
A major building contractor is delivering a variety of Refurbishment Contracts and station modernisations within the Rail industry. The projects are diverse and varied in terms of scope, and many are technically challenging.
As a result of these contracts wins they are looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager , who has worked within the Rail industry, to work closely with the Senior Project Manager on a number of sites throughout Berkshire and the south.
As an Assistant Project Manager you will be responsible for undertaking client liaison, agreeing the scope of works with Network Rail representatives, developing detailed method statements and risk assessments, producing Rail compliant Safety plans, and rail compliant assurance documentation.
You will also be involved in setting up the site, ensuring the work is delivered to Railway standards, and ultimately managing the delivery of each project to time, budget and quality standards.
As an assistant project manager, over time you will also get the opportunity , should you want it, to work on other exciting contracts within the Commercial, Defence, Hotels , Retail and Luxury Residential sectors.
You will also get the chance to further develop your commercial, project management and site management skills within a financially stable & growing company.
To be successful you must have /be all of the following:
Worked within the Rail sector within a Project, Engineering or Assurance environment
Educated to Degree or HNC standard in a Construction sector
Have experience of producing Rail compliant method statements, risk assessments and assurance documentations
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be commutable to Reading Berkshire
