We are looking for an APM to join a LU Depot Upgrade project.

The S-Stock Heavy Maintenance Facilities Project is part of a portfolio of LU Depot Upgrades that modernise existing facilities to maintain the new S-Stock trains. This is a new project starting at feasibility stage and will deliver train overhaul facilities at Neasden Depot in North London.
This project involves significant interface with internal LU Discipline Engineers and stakeholders to develop requirements and identify the optimum design for train maintenance facilities. The Assistant Project Engineer will support the Project Manager to manage the day to day planning of the project, getting involved in all aspects of Project Management (Technical, Commercial, Planning, Risk etc).
We would suit a pro-active person who has knowledge of civil construction projects and or understanding of depot or railway operations. This is a unique opportunity to get early involvement in a major capital project, contribute to a well engineered feasibility study and set up strong project foundations for subsequent design and build contracts.

Details of Responsibilities

Manage meetings to support the Systems Engineer to elicit requirements from internal and external stakeholders;
Work alongside the Project Engineer to plan and produce core project documentation in line with LU’s ‘Project Management Framework’;
Manage access planning requirements for on-site surveys by third party contractors;
Manage and monitoring the exchange of technical and commercial information between the project and third party contractors;
Support project planning and periodic reporting activities;
