Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Rail Industry
Location: Poole
Rate: 150 - 200 per day
Contract: 6 months - 1 year
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking to progress with a career in the Rail sector. Our client is a main rail contractor looking to expand their team after seeing an increase in their work load. Your involvement will be on the civils element of signalling projects.
Role Description:
The successful candidate will report directly to the Commercial Manager. You will be involved commercial aspects of various rail projects including civil, systems and build. Working on new and existing projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for;
- Dealing with internal Controls
- Managing revenue
- Cost control and management
- Cost reports
- Cost management
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a rail or civils environment. Degree Qualification is desirable but not essential. You will be enthusiastic and will have thirst to succeed and progress in a Quantity Surveyor role.
You will also be able to work under your own supervision and initiative.
Essential:
- Some Quantity Surveyor experience from a Rail environment
- In-depth knowledge of the cost management process
- Excellent written and communication skills.
