We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Chartered Engineer on a permanent basis to work in Stonehouse, with experience in rail work to design and manage rail infrastructure projects. Civil, structural and permanent way experience is expected of the successful candidates. A sound engineering background in the coordination of civil/structural engineering projects and an ability to lead teams in developing projects from feasibility through to construction stage is crucial. Experience of bridgeworks and earthworks design on UK infrastructure projects, particularly in a rail environment, would be an advantage but is not essential.
The work will involve engaging directly with Network Rail, partnering contractors and design and build contractors on feasibility studies, bridge assessment, structures strengthening and repair, bridge replacement and other rail related structures.
