You will be supporting the Railways Sector Commercial Management Team in providing effective commercial and contract management services within the Company. The Commercial Manager will join the London office commercial management team and will support the development and delivery managers in the management and control of projects being undertaken by the Company as well as assisting in the preparation of bids for further work. Activities shall include commercial and contracts management, the development of fee bid strategy, and the development of project commercial risks strategy. You will also be responsible for management of framework arrangements with our major clients to ensure a consistent commercial approach.
You will have an HND / Degree or equivalent in a construction related subject. Membership of a recognised professional body e.g. RICS would be preferred. Significant previous commercial / contracts management experience in contracting organisations and with some in a consulting environment is desirable. Experience of both pre & post contract commercial management and administration of contracts is essential. Railways and civil engineering related experience would be advantageous. This is a client facing role and verbal and written communication skills are essential. You will also be a confident user of Microsoft Office packages.
