Commercial Manager Rail - PLANT
The role involves supporting a range of high profile contracts and projects and the key responsibilities include:
• Review, understand and implement contract control mechanisms • An understanding of the commercial risks associated with contracts and implementation of suitable control measures.
• Production of management information associated with contract delivery • Ensuring the commercial control of sub contractors and suppliers • Close liaison with operations and maintenance teams to ensure service delivery exceeds contract thresholds • Compiling application for payment data and management of payments • Agreement of variations • Financial reporting • Taking the lead in tendering activities • Management of customer interactions, ensuring positive and timely outcomes
Candidates will need to possess some or all of the following key skills and experiences:
• Educated to degree or HDC/HND level
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a contracting/commercial environment • Excellent communication and IT skills • Able to form strong working relationships at all levels of the business • Ability to interpret contract conditions • Able to handle multiple priorities in a demanding work environment • Knowledge of the UK rail industry would be helpful
