We are recuiting a number of experienced Commissioning Technicians to complete work for a multi national long established client. The work will be based out of London and they are looking x7 Commissioning Technicians to start immediately. As and when new trains the new trains are introduced into service there are a set of final tests that need to be completed and number of final production tasks that will be incomplete before the stock is handed over to the customer. This could be a number of differing tasks, such as, connection of couplers and hydraulic hosing or working on the electrical circuits such and completing test on lighting etc.
These will be of a mechanical/electrical nature so you will need to confident in following schematics and using scopes, meters and software diagnostic tools and fit enough to work on heavy mechanical components. Whilst we will encourage individuals with rail experience we have successfully recruited non rail candidates from the aviation/aircraft industry and would be more than happy to talk to candidates that are leaving the armed forces/R.A.F/Royal Navy. You will have worked on an aircraft (fixed wing or rotary) carrying out planned maintenance/trouble shooting on the electrical systems and avionics equipment.
Other industries will also be considered where you have worked within a maintenance environment carrying out electrical fault diagnosis. You must be flexible regarding the shifts as they work a combination of shifts including days, nights, weekends, 4 on 4 off but you will be given a shift rota to follow. In terms of hours our current Technicians are working on average 50 hours per week and we are proposing a rate of £18.50 per hour which rises to £21.00 once you are competent and able to sign off your work (note these are Ltd company rates). Regarding length of contract this is on-going and could be long-term.
