I am currently recruiting for a Comms Engineer/ Discipline Engineer- Communication Systems to join my client, a large transport maintenance company based in London.
The ideal Comms Engineer/ Discipline Engineer- Communication Systems will be required to provide technical support to a communications discipline specific design and testing team. The ideal Comms Engineer/ Discipline Engineer- Communication Systems will also ensure the timely delivery of assured and fully co-ordinated design deliverables that meet specifications, applicable legislation and all relevant standards.
The ideal Comms Engineer/ Discipline Engineer- Communication Systems must be highly motivated, able to work autonomously with a low level of supervision and is willing to work some weekends and unsocial hours as required.
Essential experience includes:
* Communications Systems Engineering particularly with Telephony Experience in addition to CCTV, PA and associated transmission systems. Customer Information systems and Tunnel Telephone systems experience is desirable. Rail experience is very desirable, particularly on the LU network.
*Experience of providing systems assurance and be able to quickly review and comment upon documentation submitted by suppliers/contractors.
Person required must have an understanding of the systems integration, delivery, testing and commissioning of the above systems
