As Concrete Construction Manager, you will be directly responsible for providing and managing all concreting activities on this major infrastructure project. The track being constructed of either conventional reinforced concrete or steel fibre reinforced concrete slabs, all using pumped concrete mixes.
Concrete construction activities include:
Reporting to the Trackwork Construction Manager
Objectives
To complete the installation of trackwork in depot or main line according to:
Technical drawings and specifications
Forecast resources
Programme
QC standards
EHS requirement
Duties
Weekly Progress program and reports
Costs, QC, Program and Safety indicators
Optimisation of workmanship and construction means
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for large works packages and must have experience of concrete works on a large scale (Motorways, Highways etc.)
Ensure that the works are carried out as per schedule, within the budget, in line with the quality standards and as per health and safety requirements
Ensure that the Construction Manager is aware of all site activities and personnel issues in a timely way
Write documentation (procedures, reports) related to the construction, H&S and environments requirements
Manage the supervisors and machines under his responsibility
Contact point for all third parties on site
Contact point for the Client on site, coordination of Client inspections
Liaise with the survey team for daily requirements and technical issues
Liaise with the logistic team for preparation of the daily programme and loading requirements
Issue daily construction report from daily records provided by supervisors
Ensure that supervisors have received required documents (and revisions)
Ensure that supervisors have understood health and safety requirements
Check that health and safety requirements are complied with by spot checks
Ensure that supervisors have understood quality control requirements
Apply the quality requirements and issue the non-conformance when necessary
Issue risk assessments to relevant personnel
Raise to his management all issues that are link to claims or additional works.
