Rail Personnel are currently working in joint venture with Resourcing Solutions and have an exceptional opportunity for a 5 UK-based Construction Engineers experienced in Rail Tunnelling to join Hong Kong's premier rail transit organisation. As a diversified and dynamic company, the MTR corporation is involved in a wide range of business activities, including railway construction and operations, property development and management, additional commercial activities, investment projects and consultancy services worldwide.
As Construction Engineer, you will carry out detailed civil engineering works for the assigned construction contracts including tender preparation, site supervision and inspection and day-to-day contract administration, as well as maintaining and agreeing site records and liaising with relevant parties to keep up the progress of works. You will be required to check temporary work design including tunnel excavation (plus related structures), support systems, associated geotechnical works and traffic management scheme for compliance with the contract and verifications on site
To be considered, it is essential you are degree qualified in Civil Engineering with substantial post degree experience in heavy civil engineering construction. It is also important that you've had exposure to tunnelling and/or Tunnelling Boring Machines (TBM). Ideally, you are also chartered with experience as a Civil/Mining Engineer.
The successful Construction Engineer will receive a world-class remuneration package including an exceptional salary along with benefits including relocation assistance. All interviews will be held in the UK and if required via video conference call with the end client.
Please note that the role is offered on a 2 year renewable contract.
