Following the recent award of a further contract, my client, a leading Rail Civil Engineering organisation, is searching for a Construction Manager to join their successful site team based in London .
Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager , you will be accountable for the assisting in the effective management, control and delivery of a major Permanent Way project . You will be accountable for overseeing the planning and scheduling of the works programme, procurement of materials, review of progress against programme, cost monitoring costs against budget, close management of a team of Engineers and Supervisors together with direct and sub contract labour, close liaison with the client and their representatives, Health and Safety, production of progress reports and attending progress meetings.
Requirements:
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have previous experience as a P-Way Construction / Site Manager working on schemes valued in excess of £15m, be educated to a minimum of HNC standard and be a competent and effective manager of a project team and resources. You will have an in-depth knowledge of Permanent Way processes, have client facing skills, be cost and Health and Safety conscious with the ability to deliver projects to a successful conclusion, within budget and time constraints. Ideally, you will also have a solid appreciation of Network rail processes and procedures.
