Primat Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join one or our clients project team within the Rail sector.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manger, the main purpose of the role will be to monitor, control and forecast cost inline with agreed project budget.
The Cost Control Engineer will be required to liase with different team Offices with the following disciplines, (Design, Procurement, Accounting, Construction) Produce a cost report every month to provide good visibility of the cost of the all project forecast & budgets reporting any Issues with the cost control report and the cash flow on the project.
Principal Accountabilities:
Create and maintain cost control system to capture programme costs
Monitor project costs, identify critical areas and provide trend analysis
Collect and review man hours
Analyse cost control data
Carry out cost risk analysis
Detect and analyse overrun/under run
Compile monthly cost reports
Outline cost variance
Create a cost aware environment
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training required
A qualified Cost control Engineer with previous experience.
Ability to work on own initiative with a good level of self motivation, time management and communication skills.
