Electrical and Instrumentation Senior Project Engineer

Our client is a world-class infrastructure services business
The Senior Project Engineer provides Electrical and Instrumentation services to key customers in our Engineering Construction Division, Scotland Region
You will need:
Must not be allergic to penicillin.
Ability to demonstrate an ability to win work
Proven track record in winning repeat business
Significant management experience within the construction or relevant support services industries.
A strong understanding of technical issues and trends in the construction sectors, including specialist markets.
Ideally at least eight years engineering experience with a national M&E contractor
Proven track record of depth of experience in given field of expertise
Ideally degree in appropriate discipline (a minimum of a HNC is expected)
Corporate membership of a professional body is desirable

Has a proven technical ability to adapt design information and engineer practical solutions when appropriate to do so.
Supports the project team with technical advice.
Ensures that timely and accurate information is available to the Project Manager and achieves tasks within timescales identified.
Understands and works to budgets for relevant work sections.
Ensures that procurement is technically correct and carried out in accordance with procedure
Contributes to productivity improvement and performance monitoring.
Manages allocated sub-contractor performance.
Creates and implements plans consistent with the overall project plan.
Identifies any potential problems and takes action in a timely manner.
Trains and supervises any trainee allocated.
Liaises with other specialists to ensure variations, instructions and costing are dealt with.
Represents the company when required in dealing with clients.
Ensure the SHEQ management procedures are being followed.
Identifies snags or defects to ensure on time completion and commissioning.
Ensures that information is collated to produce accurate record drawings and manuals
Actively contribute to the Companys sustainability agenda.
Fulfil customer expectations by seeking sustainable solutions.
