We have an immediate requirement for a contract Electrical Design Engineer to work on high profile railway electrification projects based either in Middlesex or West Midlands .
As Electrical Design Engineer , you will have responsibility for the designing the systems associated with HV networks at 25kv on Autotransformer or Classic systems. Other tasks will include developing and maintaining a technical competence in distribution power systems including protection along with developing and maintaining a technical competence in developing different protection and earthing schemes.
Projects could include:
* Network Rail West Coast Route ,
* East Coast Mainline
* Great Eastern
* Other electrification programmes, including Liverpool to Manchester , Edinburgh, London Docklands
You will also support technical input into other schemes on 25kv AC or 33Kv DC electrification projects on Network Rail Electrification and Plant infrastructure .
It is essential you have Network Rail project experience in 25Kv AC or 33Kv DC either as a client or as a contractor along with appreciation of LUL HV and LV power supplies.
