My client is a leading design consultancy working on a number of rail projects. They need an Electrification Design Engineer to join their specialist team in London. This is a permanent job paying £40-60k depending on experience.
Duties:
- Design of rail electrification projects (3rd rail and overhead line)
- Determining workload priorities and allocating time input
- Checking the work of more junior team members
- Project management of small projects
- Member of larger team delivering medium to large size projects
- Interfacing with local clients at project level and building client relationships
Required experience:
- Rail electrification (3rd rail, overhead line) design
- Production & verification experience in electrification plans
- Sub-stations, earthing and bonding plans
- EMC studies, site surveys and equipment specifications
- Knowledge of rail electrification standards
- Experience of working on international projects will also be desirable
