Electronic Engineer Chippenham Contract

The Client
The client is a multinational leader in delivering state of the art railway control and communication solutions.

The Role
The company are now looking for a Electronic Engineer to design VHDL for FPGAs in IR hardware platform products.

Duties & Responsibilities
Design of VHDL for a new Invensys Rail safety-critical hardware platform
Production of product documentation

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required
Minimum first degree in electronics or equivalent
Comprehensive experience of VHDL for FPGA design for high integrity products
Experience in the use of Aldec ActiveHDL for FPGA design and simulation
Experience in digital and embedded microprocessor design
Good PC skills including use of MS Office tools

Knowledge and skills desired
Good understanding of the rigorous requirements of a safety-critical environment
Familiar with IBM Rational Synergy for version control
