Our client is looking for an Estimator to join their rail division.
The right candidate must have experience in working on Network Rail projects as well as Electrical experience.
Key Accountabilities:
Check and acknowledge tender documents and amendments.
Carry out material “takeoff” from specification and drawings and/or from Bill of Quantities
Abstract information into Subcontract and Material packages
Select Subcontract and Material Suppliers from approved supplier database
Send out Subcontract and material enquiries
Carry out pricing document production
Enter pricing document onto Database.
Rate up pricing document for both Labour and Materials.
Answering queries from Subcontractors and Suppliers.
Request further information from Client/Design Team
Arrange and attend mid-tender site visits and interviews
Enter sub-contractor/supplier quotations into Database.
Liaise with Planner re: Methodology.
Liaise with Contracts Engineer and Contracts Director
Calculate Labour rate
Price up Prelims.
Compile Tender Submission
Complete Form of Tender and tender letter with any qualifications.
Complete Contract Sum Analysis/Schedule
Prepare information packages for handover to construction team
Attend handover meeting and brief team on tender bid.
Attend Post Tender interview.
