Health and Safety Manager
Parsons Brinckerhoff is the Strategic Program Manager for Qatar Rails multibillion planned works to integrate a 4-line 100-station metro, high-speed passenger rail, freight, a people mover and light rail, which once delivered will provide a fast, convenient, world-class, fully integrated railway system for the State of Qatar.
Due to this we are currently looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to join our team in Qatar.
Responsibilities:
Be familiar with the requirements of local legislation, international best practice and standards and ensure they are complied with
Assist management in planning HSE into work activities
Generate an awareness of HSE within the company as an integral part of good management
Assist in recognizing HSE training needs and advise line management accordingly
Advice Project Managers on areas of weakness and the remedial measures required to enable improvement
Ensure that company HSE procedures are complied with and implemented
Assist management in planning HSE into work activities
Provide information on and inform line management of changes to legislation and Company HSE Procedures site
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
15 Years of experience.
Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering/construction discipline
NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
Heavy Civil /Rail experience essential
Middle East experience would be an advantage
