Lead Project Engineer (rail) – Contract – Midlands – Up to £420 per day
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Engineer level professional with multi-discipline experience in Track, Structures and Signalling. It is vitally important that you have experience of Network Rail standard NR/L2/INI 02009.
Your main duties will be to manage the use of appropriate engineering standards in relation to design and construction, on all projects within the national programme and check whether they comply with legislation, Railway Group and company standards. To monitor whether suitably qualified and experienced staff are employed to control engineering aspects of all projects within the functional discipline.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience in the railway environment in at least one railway engineering discipline. Track discipline preferred but other disciplines will be considered.
- Significant experience in the engineering management of multidisciplinary railway projects with good knowledge and experience of the individual engineering disciplines and how these disciplines integrate together.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution
- Experience of major contracting
- Knowledge of structuring safety cases in support of projects
- Accident investigation experience
