Our client has extensive involvement in traction and rolling stock engineering including in the overhaul, refurbishment and upgrade areas. This is a great opportunity to join a company that has achieved sustained growth in recent years and would present an excellent chance to further your career development.

The role requires engineers who can design specifications, modifications and procedures for the overhaul, refurbishment and upgrade of rolling stock. You will be part of the central engineering function and will be assisting the project team in the delivery of engineering activities.

Opportunities exist for graduate level mechanical and electrical engineers to join engineering and project teams at professional levels with excellent prospects for longer term career advancement in this well regarded rail engineering group. Candidates who are not graduate engineers but have strong technical backgrounds in fleet engineering environments and relevant formal training will also be considered.

Candidates should have good interpersonal skills and a keen interest in rolling stock development supported by practical experience gained in a relevant environment.

This opportunity would particularly suit graduate engineers with a few years of post-graduate work experience in a rolling stock environment.
