We are looking for a Track Design Engineer to join our Clients ever growing workforce.
Duties:
-To have the efficient and effective communications with other disciplines on multi disciplinary projects.
-To carry a CAD generated drawings for modelling Permanent Way Horizontal and Vertical Alignments, cross sections and the S & C layouts of rail.
-To be responsible of and carry out the track geometry surveys and design cants, speeds, clearances. Horizontal and vertical alignments required. We are looking for an individual who has worked on many track drainage design projects in his career.
-To assist in the investigations and feasibility projects for permanent way aspects of rail projects and support Track managers.
Essential:
-Technical competence in track design requirements, such as heavy and light rail.
-Working knowledge in specialist software, Microstation, BentleyRail, MX Rail, InRail, TerraModelling, etc.
-Working knowledge of the current codes and standards.
-HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
-Member of the Permanent Way Institution
