My Client is looking for a Principle Signalling Engineer on a 6 month basis. The role will see the individual working on a variety of projects associated with an LUL upgrade program. Day to day work will involve largely feasibility studies, some checking of design work and a bit of site work also.
Please find below the essential skills/experience required for the role -
• LU experience essential especially in regards to assurances/processes
• IRSE Licensed in category 1.1.130/1.1.150D as a minimum. – if this is expired we will still look at them
• 15 years signalling experience.
• Must have PTS – Personal Track Safety.
• Demonstrable experience producing feasibility studies.
• Proven report writing experience – excellent written and oral communication skills essential
• Testing and commissioning experience
• Design checking experience
• Capturing user requirements and developing specifications and estimates.
• Demonstrable experience in the development and interpretation of quantified risk assessments.
• Knowledge and application of value engineering.
• Experience of leading design activity on complex multi disciplinary projects from inception to final delivery.
• Directing virtual teams and taking 'Approval' responsibility for technical outputs.
• Computer literate in all Microsoft office applications
• Awareness of relevant engineering standards e.g. BSI, ISO LUL Cat 1 Standards
• Familiar with IEE regulations and Railway Signalling Safety Principles and Guidance.
