Our Client is a world leading consultancy who provides complete lifecycle and risk management solutions to help ensure the safety, integrity and operational performance of assets and systems to organisations around the globe. They require a leading technical expert within the professional activity of signalling who is able to promulgate best practice and represent their business on external bodies and committees. They require a professional who can lead the development and delivery of its business and service areas ensuring that they remain a technical leader in this field
.
Job Responsibilities
To act as a technical role model internally and externally in signalling ensuring you are up to date with standards industry initiatives, new developments and emerging thinking.
To build relationships and networks outside the consultancy
To increase the companys profile credibility and brand image
To contribute to developments and the setting of standards within the industry by speaking at conferences, publishing technical papers etc.
To define technical standards and competences and to promote them throughout the company through the appropriate channels
To assure compliance with technical standards, corporate risk and safety requirements through reviewing project activities and technical auditing.
To communicate regularly with the managing director about legal and regulatory compliance.
Contribute to the business development strategy, advising on market and client activity and advising the appropriate manager of internal and external growth opportunities.
To drive technical innovation within the company
To pursue continuous professional development activities in order to build knowledge and expertise
Job Requirements
You will be a Fellow of an appropriate professional institution or capable of attaining such status within two years of appointment
Qualified and experienced to act as a UK representative on UK or international committees for the advancement of research standards or regulation.
Experience of working in a professional services or project environment.
Able to travel throughout the UK and possibly internationally in support of projects and business development.
Able to present to a high professional standard both orally and in writing to groups and individuals
A track record of contributing to industry bodies and events
