Our Client is looking for a Project Engineer to assist with the delivery of a major Depot Upgrade programme.

The role:

This role is working as part of a team of Project Engineers to deliver the a Depot Upgrade Project.

As a project engineer you must coordinate engineering activities within the project team with the primary objective of delivering safe, compliant, efficient, economic and assured engineering solutions in a timely manner.

Ensure engineering coordination of multi-disciplinary projects.

Provide technical input into procurement and contract management of suppliers as required for the relevant stage(s) of the Works.

Involve technical specialist engineers as appropriate to the nature and complexity of the project to ensure that objectives, and technical and performance requirements, are met.

Provide engineering input into Project Management planning and management processes.

Ensure that technical coordination of designs at Supplier and Client integration level are competently managed in accordance with CDM regulation.

Ensure Value Engineering is applied consistently at all lifecycle stages identifying opportunities for cost savings and assessing the impact of changes on costs.

Coordinate review of maintenance handover documentation and provide engineering input into the management and resolution of defects.

Ensure overall quality and fitness for purpose of engineering solutions.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of the Power asset QICC process

Knowledge of safety legislation and operating rules and regulations.

Knowledge of the Client's assurance processes.

Knowledge of risk management principles.

Understand the framework of the structured environment in which contractors are working.

Awareness of contractual arrangements that apply, specifically NEC contracts

The ability to achieve Chartered Engineer Status or qualifications leading to Chartered Status is required together with membership of an appropriate professional institution.

Basic knowledge of maintenance techniques and good industry practice.
