To accommodate their expanding workload, our client, a leading Rail subcontractor, is seeking to employ a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based in their West London office to work on a variety of rail projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of contracts negotiating with contractors and service providers. This is a key position, managing a challenging and complex workload and offers excellent opportunities to develop and progress within the company.

You will be a self motivated, commercially aware Quantity Surveyor who has the ability to support projects and ensure they are run on a commercial basis. You will provide sound commercial support to a number of projects, evaluating and producing estimates, schedules and bills of quantities. The role will also involve agreeing measures, new rates and final accounts including client reporting, evaluating and agreeing variations and quotations for compensation events, presenting, negotiating and agreeing contractual issues.

You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in quantity surveying or civil engineering with strong IT skills. You will be self motivated, and be able to work with minimum supervision. Experience of complex contracts and estimating experience would also be beneficial.
