Our client is one of the largest electricity distribution network owners in the UK. On the back of growth of their Rail Sector they require a Quantity Surveyor to be based in Hampshire. This role is paying £300-350 per day. The main purpose of the role is to provide a Quantity Surveying Service and to support the Managing QS. In addition the role will be required to support the Procurement Manager in Tender Enquiries, Contract Evaluation, Administration and Control. You will be required to: Manage contracts and contract packages as a member of the Commercial Team Monitor and manage the change management to include; cost estimates, design change, scope variation, instruction and programme change Monitor, manage and report against the base data or cost plan Manage and administer the project subcontracts, trade contractor and consultants Monitor and manage risks and opportunities Manage the monthly valuations and payment applications Monitor and manage the issue of contract instructions, contract charges and formal notices Prepare and issue the information for the management accounts and financial management procedure Monitor and manage and conclude final accounts as instructed You must have experience of one of the following: Estimating, procurement, risk and opportunity management, cost reporting, record keeping and claims preparation Demonstrable track record and success in a QS environment, for a contracting company in the electrical sector Industry contract knowledge and Experience (e.g. NEC3) Knowledge of supply chain environment, contracts and experience in contract negotiations You will be an ambitious individual who is performance focused and can deliver results, we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate commercial acumen and an aptitude for negotiation.
