An exciting new career opportunity has arisen with one of the worlds largest engineering organisations. This global entity is bucking the trend and has identified the need to establish a high profile team to manage the portfolio of global projects dedicated to rail and port engineering within Mining, Oil & Gas and Civil Construction. ?At this moment in time they are seeking a Rail Infrastructure Engineer based in the UAE.

Summary
This senior position will report directly to the Rail Area Manager and will work within a team of rail related disciplines to support business development and the execution of studies and FEED for projects around the world.

Key Responsibilities
The assessment, review and conceptual design of all rail structures such as tunnels, bridges, platforms etc. according to applicable standards, in close cooperation with the (potential) end users, in terms of commercial, architectural, operational , environmental and technical requirements in a timely and efficient manner;
Translate various design options into feasible solutions;
Assist in the development of proposals to customers
Plan, program and manage the resources applied to ensure the agreed project objectives of quality, timeliness and profitability will be achieved
Prepare, submit and present papers at industry conferences and publishing in relevant trade journals and magazines from time to time
Support the development of expertise in our rail capabilities
Maintain and support ongoing business relationships with key clients and customers.
?Skills and Experiences??
A degree in civil/structural engineering or equivalent plus relevant professional qualification;
Substantial experience in the railway sector, with proven international expertise in the design and delivery of rail infrastructure projects, including tunnels, bridges, track work and other related structures;
Previous experience in a consulting or contracting environment
Understanding of planning large civil infrastructures and knowledge of operational conditions affecting logistics and design
Self starter with strong communication skills both verbal and written
the ability to lead a team of internal and external resources
the ability to work cooperatively within an interdisciplinary peer group
