Our Client is a world leading consultancy who provides complete lifecycle and risk management solutions to help ensure the safety, integrity and operational performance of assets and systems for organisations around the globe. They have a requirement for a RAMS consultant to provide RAMS expertise on both rail infrastructure and rolling stock projects in the UK and occasionally overseas.
The job will involve providing input to proposals and novel solutions to technically challenging client’s requirements. You will play a key role in technical and commercial RAMS projects and will possess a comprehensive working knowledge of EN50126.
You will interface with clients on a technical and contractual level as well as other engineers from different disciplines within the business. You will oversee work being undertaken by less experienced engineers. The job will require the development of RAMS documentation such as RAMS Plans, RBDs, FTAs and FMEA as well as chairing and taking part in HAZOPS. You will be a senior player in project teams and top act as a project manager and have a leading role in future signalling related projects.
Ideally you will be a chartered engineer or equivalent and a member of the IET/IMechE with at least 10 years of relevant experience in the rail industry. You will have proven experience of safety engineering and safety case development for infrastructure and rolling stock projects and risk management and management decision making. You will have experience of the successful delivery of you own areas of responsibility on time and to budget.
