We are looking for a RAMS LCC Bid Engineer (m/f) for our Burton - The Maltsters Depot.

The primary purpose of this role is to supply robust engineering inputs on each bid. The objectives of the role range from development of innovative and accurate maintenance cost data and train performance regime risk calculations to the generation of engineering hour requirements on bids.
This role is critical to the achievement of SER UK order intake and future shareholder return.

Your Challenges
- Using standard tools and processes develop innovative and accurate maintenance costs that are aligned with our maintenance project experience in a timely fashion for each bid
- Develop train performance risk calculations that are aligned with our maintenance project experience in a timely fashion for each bid
- Develop engineering hour's costs for each bid.
- Take ownership of the technical content on each bid and take an active role in attaining functional approval through the governance process
- Continuously benchmark existing projects maintenance cost and train performance so that comparisons can be made to all bids and data used in future bids
- What engineering solution will we propose to a Customers Enquiry?
- What can I do on the bid to increase our chances of winning and the subsequent return to the shareholder?
- How will I manage my work profile to achieve the bid timescale?
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Professional Engineering Qualification (degree level preferred).
- Competent in all MS Office software.
- Significant technical knowledge of Engineering, maintenance regimes and performance regimes.
- Diligent with attention to detail.
- Commercially aware with a good knowledge of the fleet maintenance business .
- Bid management is a particularly pressurised environment due to a combination of the immovable timescales and the consequences success or failure. Subsequently this role requires a person who is self motivated and has a resilient character.
