Our Client is looking for a Resource Planner with exceptional knowledge and experience of working within permanent way. Ideally they are looking for a permanent candidate however for the right person they may consider a contractor for this role.
Qualified to degree or HNC level, the successful candidate will have a proven track record and engineering background and effective in dealing with infrastructure managers and supervisors.
Other key criteria include:
•Skilled in the use of appropriate planning software.
•Understanding track renewals specifications, and resource requirements
•Experienced in presenting plans to senior management and customers with evidence of direct customer interaction and the ability to communicate at all levels.
•Computer literate and skilled in the use of spreadsheets
•Skilled in the use of project management software would be an advantage
•Holds appropriate railway certificates to allow attendance on site if necessary
•Holds a current driving license
If successful for this position your duties will include:
Responsibility for the planning of all projects including the allocation to Production Managers, specification of labour, plant and material resource levels and skills, resource levelling, identifying demand overload and demand smoothing.
You will be in direct communication with customer project managers to ensure that your plan fits with requirements.
You will be assisted by the Plant Administrator who will ensure you are aware of plant availability and related company standards and safety procedures.
Working to short timescales, you will be a key figure in the management team presenting your plans to both internal and on occasion external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for providing, monthly and 3 monthly plan summaries and providing detailed weekly plans to front line staff and on-call managers.
You will share on-call duties with the Production Managers and the Operations Director if required.
