Senior Finance Analyst (6 mth Contract)
6 month contract – to start immediately
Up to £350/day
Based in London

The role:
To review, analyse and challenge business plans and periodic results and forecasts. Develop, implement and apply consistently across the function analytical tools, systems and processes to benchmark performance, making recommendations for improvements where appropriate.
·Review, analyse and challenge the business plan submissions for compliance with targets.
·Lead the development of consistent models and financial analysis of all activities, including the setting of benchmarking and best practice, internal and external, for all activities.
·Provide the appropriate management information and support to budget holders for control of expenditure and business case development.
·Derive from analysis and discussions, opportunities for improvement. Propose actions to budget holders.
·Monitor and report on progress in the implementation of efficiencies identified in the business plan.
·Manage the production of reporting packs for management reviews.
What you will need:
Ideally you will be a finance professional with experience of setting up SLAs between parents and subsidiary businesses (including charging mechanisms) preferably in a regulated environment.
Essential
·Student/part membership (or equivalent) of the relevant professional body having progressed to the final stage of qualification, or possession of sufficient experience to fulfil the requirements of the role without membership of the relevant professional body
·Experience in project accounting for large construction projects
Desirable
·Experience of asset transfer will be advantageous but is not essential.
·Full membership of relevant professional body
·2 years’ post qualification experience
·3 years experience within finance disciplines of Network Rail and/or external organisations
