Our client is working on a Crossrail contract in West London. They require a Senior OLE Project Engineer to join the team on site.
You are responsible for ensuring that:

•Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions whilst at work.
•Cooperate in all matters pertaining to Health and Safety to enable the Company to carry out its legal duties and requirements.
•Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all persons under your control.
•Do not recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety and welfare.
•Bring to the attention of your manager any perceived shortcomings in health and safety arrangements or situations that you consider to be serious or imminent danger to yourself or others.
•Do not undertake any safety critical work activity or activity for which a specific competence is required, unless you have received the necessary training/instruction and/or assessment and hold the appropriate Certificate of Competence/Authority to Work. Do not instruct others to undertake such work if they do not hold the appropriate Certificate of Competence/Authority to Work.
•Provide leadership to the OLE Engineering team to ensure all projects are delivered in compliance with applicable legislation, industry and client standards and internal standards and procedures.
•Undertake briefing of the team to ensure that they are up to date with all applicable legislation, industry and client standards and internal standards and procedures.
•Provide effective communication of information to facilitate compliance with Statutory, Industry, Mandatory requirements for use by the projects team.
•Liaise with the projects team personnel to ensure their requirements are understood and complied with.
•Ensure adherence to formally set budgetary requirements as issued.
•Undertake all work in accordance with all relevant client and Standards and Instructions.
•Undertake Category 3 audits and management checks as directed and provide reports to appropriate Senior Management.
•Undertake Risk Assessments as required throughout the project lifecycle.
•Provide input as required to SSOW planners to enable safe systems of work to be established for all works.
•Establish and maintain project files including records of: work planned; work achieved; in process checks undertaken; change control; inspection and test documentation; compilation of H & S file; provision of as built information and handover/handback documentation.
•Undertake management of sub contractors as directed to ensure compliance with Statutory, Industry, Mandatory requirements.
•Undertake or participate in inquires and investigations as directed by Senior Management in accordance with Group Standards and Instructions.
•Provide guidance and support as necessary to site teams to ensure: methodologies and processes for work delivery are developed; work undertaken is in accordance with the design, is compliant with client requirements and meets the required quality standard.
•Undertake the role of Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) and/or Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) when required.
•Undertake or participate in design reviews as required throughout the project lifecycle to ensure: compliance with Statutory, Industry, Mandatory requirements, buildability and opportunities for efficiencies resulting in cost effectiveness.
•Undertake coaching in overhead line engineering and construction techniques to the project teams as required.
•Support the project teams in the development of methodologies for electrification construction works that ensure installations are delivered cost effectively, safely and compliant with all relevant standards and codes.
•Develop procedures for testing and commissioning of electrification construction projects and undertake the role of Test Engineer when required.
•Ensure that all proposed change is managed in accordance with Group Standards, Procedures and Instructions.
•Liaise with clients to ensure to ensure their requirements are understood and met.
The following qualifications and experience are preferable.
HNC Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, I Eng, Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, C Eng, Proven experience in electrification construction, Proven experience in electrification construction, Overhead Line design,
Overhead Line Construction
The client is offering a salary of circa £41,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave, defined contribution pension scheme.
