Senior Project Engineer/Designated Project Engineer, Birmingham, day rate upto £420.
You will manage the use of appropriate engineering standards in relation to design and construction, on all projects within the national programme and check whether they comply with legislation, Railway Group and company standards. You will also monitor whether suitably qualified and experienced staff are employed to control engineering aspects of all projects within the functional discipline.
To be successful, it is imperative you have significant experience in the railway environment in ideally a track discipline but other disciplines will be considered. You must also have significant experience in the engineering management of multidisciplinary railway projects with good knowledge and experience of the individual engineering disciplines and how these disciplines integrate together.
Significant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas along with technical qualifications to at least HND level or equivalent and membership of a relevant professional institution is also required. You will have worked in the capacity of Designated Project Engineer or Contract Responsible Engineer in the past with experience in Track, structures and signalling.
If you also have experience of working with major contractors, knowledge of structuring safety cases in support of projects, Knowledge of safety management and quality assurance, an understanding of the arrangements required for the independent assessment of works with Accident investigation experience we would like to talk to you.
