Signalling and Safety Consultant

Our Client is a world leading consultancy who provides complete lifecycle and risk management solutions to help ensure the safety, integrity and operational performance of assets and systems to organisations around the globe. Our client has a requirement for a signalling and safety consultant who will be able to provide input to proposals with solutions to technically challenging client needs. They require an engineer who can play a key technical and commercial role in signal engineering and safety and assurance projects while interfacing with client on a technical and contractual level.

You will play a major role in in project teams preparing signalling project documentation including : technical studies, research reports, safety case documentation, standards and specifications, independent review of safety, management and planning documentation. You will be in control of your own projects budget while reviewing other project budgets as well. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career as there will be the opportunity for the right candidate to act as a project manager and have a leading role in future signalling related projects.

Ideally you will be a chartered engineer or equivalent and a member of the IRSE coupled with at least 10 years’ experience in the rail industry. You will have proven experience of signalling command and control systems development and application, with experience of safety engineering and safety case development for signalling systems and products. You will adept at risk management and management decision making while being able to prove that you deliver your areas of responsibility on time and to budget.
