Signalling Planner - Based in Derby or Birmingham

Salary and Location
The salary offered will be circa £50,000pa and will be based in the Midlands

An opportunity has arisen for a signalling planner to provide support on the delivery of projects to an agreed scope, budget, timescale and quality

Role Description
This role requires you to
• Assist the project managers in the building project plans and programmes of work to the agreed standard
• Ensure that the task dependencies are accurately represented and projects have an appropriate baseline
• Resource load project plans and ensure that resource requirements are accurately reflected in the companies resource planning tool.
• Regularly monitor and capture progress against specific project tasks
• Provide weekly / monthly plan and progress feedback to the project manager
• Communicate effectively with the project manager, project team and resource management in a consistent manner.
• Adjust plans for contract variations and to align with client and subcontractor expectations

Required Experience:
For this role you will be required to:
• Have at least 3 years experience of Primavera project planning software- including P6
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Educated beyond ‘ A level’
• Have a proven track record of working in the rail industry, specifically signalling
• At least 3 years experience of a commercially focussed engineering or software project development environment.
