Following the Government’s decision to go ahead with high speed rail, HS2 Ltd is recruiting a Standards Manager, who will manage the HS2 standards suite and the application of standards owned by others for the HS2 project.
Specifically, you will be responsible for leading the evaluation and control of change to standards and will achieve support and agreement, with the standard owners, for the application of standards within HS2 ltd, stakeholders and third parties. Your remit will also include leading in the production of standards for HS2 Ltd to meet the project objectives and developing the application of standards sufficient to comply with external regulations.
If you have demonstrable experience in client management of major projects, and of working with sponsors, regulatory bodies and other major stakeholders, as well as a competent understanding of common contract management frameworks, then we’d like to hear from you. Your ability to communicate and deliver work under pressure will be key. Experience in construction and rail standards at an industry / UK and European level as well as knowledge of Network Rail and the rail industry would be an advantage.
