Our client is looking to recruit Team Technician to help assist current members of staff as outlined below. This role will be based in the South East

Job Responsibilities:
To maintain and establish the condition of the work site, materials and equipment
To support health and safety practices in the workplace
Prepare for and undertake planned maintenance
Assemble and install, diagnose faults and deal with straightforward defects in traction and rolling stock components and assets by adjustment
Confirm that traction and rolling stock assets comply with operational specifications by the use of simple engineering processes and techniques then prepare for and undertake the removal and replacement of traction and rolling stock Components
Modify or manufacture traction and rolling stock components by material removal using hand tools
Establish compliance with traction and rolling stock specifications
Provide operational support to users of traction and rolling stock assets
Develop professionally and support good working relationships
Learn new skills in accordance with new business demands as required
Liaison with your own personnel and external personnel as required to complete the duties of the post
To assist areas and all members of staff within the business as required

This is a Safety Critical position and the suitable candidate is required to hold a relevant TRACK SAFETY competencies this will include the following:
- Network Rail Sentinel PTS
- Stock-Specific maintenance and faulting
- Depot Protection
- Working at Height
- Manual Handling
- AC/DC Depot isolation
- Moveable plant
- Powered plant and tools - air / 110v

Qualifications Required:
- M & E HNC or served apprenticeship with mechanical, electrical disciplines
- Engineering based NVQ level 3
It would also be desirable that you will have Intermediate IT skills - typically Word, Excel

Salary is £28,812 Plus £3,200 shift allowance
