Colin Wheeler to speak at IOSH conference

RailStaff’s top columnist, Colin Wheeler, is to  speak at the 2009 IOSH Rail Industry Conference.

The focus of this year’s conference is corporate governance and safety. Other confirmed speakers include Louise Ellman MP, Chair of the Transport Select Committee. Louise will deliver a keynote address and follows in the footsteps of the late Gwyneth Dunwoody MP who was one of the highlights of the conference in 2007. 

Also confirmed are Anders Lundström of the European Railway Agency, Terry Morgan CBE, Chairman of Crossrail, and Lawrence Waterman of the Olympic Delivery Authority, who will close the conference.
Special guest speaker at this year’s conference is Pete Waterman OBE, Chairman of the London and North Western Railway Heritage Company and RailStaff Awards enthusiast. The famous music producer is leading a campaign for a national skills academy for the rail industry and will speak on the need to preserve skills.
