A former Scottish and Newcastle man, Simon Gledhill is the new National Business Manager, Construction, Petroleum & Waste at EWS.

Simon succeeds Chris Pendlenton who will be retiring in the summer after a transition period. Says Keith Heller, EWS Chief Executive, ‘Chris Pendlenton retires this summer after 40 years of developing close working relationships with his customers and the railway industry. We all wish him a long and happy retirement.’

Simon Gledhill joined EWS in January 2002 after seven years with Scottish & Newcastle where he held various finance and commercial roles. Simon spent his first year with EWS as Head of Resources Finance and subsequently, also assumed responsibility for operations and commercial finance
