Main Duties and Responsibilities / Key accountabilities
*Responsible for all aspects of purchase ledger duties
*Coding and process all types of invoices on daily basis
*Reconciliation of supplier accounts
*Preparing invoices for authorisation and payment
*Efficiently dealing with supplier queries
*Liaise with suppliers regarding payment queries and missing invoices
*Processing expenses and credit card statements/payments
*Review, maintain a clean creditors analysis
*Other month end related tasks
*Posting payments into Access Dimensions
*Assist in the preparation of bank reconciliations
*Reconcile the Purchase ledger to general ledger on a monthly basis
*Process all petty cash payments
*Assist in the preparation of reconciliation including Balance Sheet reconciliations
*Processing, recording and payment of staff expenses
*Production of weekly reports
*Support others within the Finance department when necessary
*Assisting with other general accounting and ad hoc duties as and when required by the needs of the department and business.
Core Competencies for this Role
*Strong /Advanced excel skills (ie Vlookup/ Pivot table/ Sum if)
*Experience of working within small to medium sized finance functions and performing the range of responsibilities described above
*Minimum one year's experience in similar role
*Working knowledge of Access Dimensions
*Excellent Telephone Manner
*Must be assertive but non-confrontational
*Hands on Approach, must be a self-starter
*Team Player
*Ability to operate under pressure.
*Ability to work to deadlines is required.
*Good attention to detail.
*Strong time management skills
