I am looking for a hands-on ANSYS Analyst to conduct design checks/modifications for a major Shiplift and Transfer System as part of revised loading calculations for the £30 billion Dreadnought Submarine Programme. The role requires an individual with extensive hands-on ANSYS modelling/checking experience who can check and modify existing designs. The firm is a Global engineering consultancy that has partnered with the Ministry of Defence for over 50 years, covering all facets of engineering. The role will be based in Glasgow.
About the Project:
Various military sites are undergoing upgrades as part of the £30 billion Dreadnought Submarine Programme, delivering the UKs future at-sea nuclear defence arsenal as a replacement to the current Vanguard Submarine Trident Nuclear Programme. As part of the new Programme, structures at Barrow-in-Furness and HMNB Clyde are going through multiple multidisciplinary structural and infrastructure upgrades in order to support the new Dreadnought class vessels as well as improve operations on-site for the future.
