Change Analyst in Birmingham, United Kingdom

JOB PURPOSE

The post holder will work closely with the Change Manager and others in the change team to implement change management process. This will include coordinating change governance meetings (including inputs and outputs) and administering the change management system, to ensure that change impacts are fully assessed, change decisions are fully recorded and approved changes are fully implemented into the Phase One baseline.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Administer change control activities, conduct quality assurance checks of change submissions ensuring proposed changes are fully assessed with clear visibility of implications and movements from the baseline position in scope, budgets and schedule and evidence of consultation with other internal functions.
  • Monitor, review and report to the Change Manager on quality of change proposals submitted for inclusion against baseline. Provide guidance and corrective actions to teams to improve quality of change control information.
  • Secretariat for the internal change governance panels and any other required change meetings. Responsible for diary management for these panels and timely production of agendas, meeting minutes and action trackers.
  • Administer the Change Management process and system ensuring that all audit trails are correctly maintained, accurate and up to date and supporting documentation is in accordance with the document management protocols.
  • Assist in preparation and submission of monthly performance reports for all changes to enable prompt decision making, approvals and financial authorisations.
  • Ensure that all approved changes are correctly attributed, and incorporated into scope, cost, schedule and risk baselines.
  • Liaise with Corporate and Phase One teams to provide advice, guidance, recommendations and training on process and system.
  • Support the maintenance of the internal Interchange pages for change, ongoing procedure/process updates and other ad-hoc tasks which may be occasionally
  • Provide user feedback and support ongoing development of requirements, design improvements, user testing, training and implementation of change management system.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • An understanding of baseline and change control principles in the context of a major programme.
  • Experience of facilitating and administering multidiscipline meetings with large groups of stakeholders.
  • Experience of maintaining a corporate system.
  • Evidence of ability to deliver against tight deadlines, in an ambiguous political environment and a track record of developing effective working relationships and providing meaningful guidance and support to colleagues in different disciplines.

  • Awareness of the HS2 Ltd Programme and historic and upcoming key milestones.
