Civils Infrastructure Options Analyst in Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom

Our client is recruiting for a Civils Infrastructure Options Analyst to work on a long-term contract period based in Birmingham.
JOB PURPOSE
To support the commercial team in establishing the most appropriate packaging of civils infrastructure.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead the development and implementation strategy for civils infrastructure, ensuring lessons learned are applied and the wider construction industry and innovation in approach is delivered
Collaborate with complex integrated teams to develop delivery strategies made up of individuals from delivery teams, engineering, contract management, procurement, project controls, infrastructure directorate, finance, supply chain engagement.
Provide proposals with scenario tests and options analysis to include impacts on costs and complexity of contract management once contracts are let, working closely with the Head of Contract Management
Provide proposals with scenario tests and options analysis that include impacts on system integration, working collaboratively with the Head of Engineering and operations colleagues in the Infrastructure Directorate
Support the commercial governance process, managing others contributions in addition to representing the commercial function presenting to Panels, Committees and Boards as required
Undertake progress reporting against schedule
Liaise with key stakeholders including government departments and supply chain
SKILLS
Strong commercial acumen with considerable experience from relevant sectors
Ability to develop optimum delivery solutions, striking a balance between financial, quality, political and wider economic benefits
Ability to operate at a strategic level in a highly complex environment.
Able to collaboratively communicate and negotiate at Senior Management level.
Strong organisation and time management
Strong written and verbal communication.
KNOWLEDGE
Membership of the RICS, CIPS or similar recognised body
MBA or equivalent desirable
Knowledge of appropriate procurement regulations
Good understanding of key NEC contract terms and conditions
Knowledge of infrastructure investment market
Knowledge of major infrastructure project sector
