The TRU West Alliance is delivering a key part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU), a multi-billion pound investment programme that will increase capacity and provide space for millions more passengers in the north every year. The TRU West Alliance is responsible for this transformation between Leeds and Manchester Victoria. You will act as the People Systems Analyst on the project.
Your mission
Systems:
- Manage Alliance people related data within Alliance IT software (IntelliHR, e-learning, Sharepoint etc.);
- Act as a single point of contact for the OD team, APT and BIT;
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve small scale issues or queries;
- The ability to carry out user led enhancements to people software as required (things that the software would already allow the user to do and to allow us to take advantage of more features available);
- Support the IT/Digital team with OD related enhancements by managing low complexity projects or workstreams within a larger project.
Reporting:
- Carry out/Assist with people related surveys, collating data and producing the results in a presentable format;
- Managing the reporting cycle, co-ordinating colleagues to input on time and to the quality required;
- Creating and improving reports using software such as Power BI/Excel;
- Recruitment statistics;
- The ability to analyse and interpret the data at a basic level to then allow further analysis and interpretation by the management team.
Who are we looking for?
Key knowledge/skills/experience:
- Confident to communicate and co-ordinate a wide variety of stakeholders;
- Well organised to complete key tasks on time, organise the resolution of issues/improvements and ensure that reporting is completed on time to the business rhythm;
- Attention to detail and takes pride in completing things to reasonable level of quality;
- Confident with MS Office suite and analysing data, producing reports within this inc. Power BI;
- Experience of working with Data within a variety of software systems and developing them to a basic level;
- An interest in IT and People transformation.
