Risk & Value Analyst in Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom
Our client, a rail infrastructure company is currently looking for an experienced Risk and Value Analyst to join them on a long-term contract basis (6 Months minimum) contract basis located in one of their offices in Reading, Berkshire. The Risk and Value Analyst will be responsible for providing Risk and Value Management services to project and programme teams.
The Risk & Value Analyst will be required to facilitate Risk and Value Management activities at all levels across our client including senior management and project level on both schedule and cost risk. In addition, you will be responsible for providing regular reports to Project and Risk and Value managers ensure that the Risk statuses of the projects are monitored efficiently.
The Risk & Value Analyst will be requires to perform the following duties/tasks;
- Manage so that Risk and Value management on projects complies with the requirements of the corporate procedures.
- Facilitate the identification and analysis of Risk and Value management interventions on projects and programmes, including lessons learned.
- Carry out qualitative, quantitative and business risk assessments to give the best advice to Project Managers and sponsors.
- Manage so that projects have a Risk register, the Risk data is accurate, timely and relevant and that appropriate Risk treatments are in place and being acted upon.
- Provide regular reports to project managers on the risk status of projects and programmes, and provide advice on the management of contingency.
- Establish and co-ordinate a register of Risk and Value management activities.
- Support the risk and value management processes in other departments and areas of the business.
Candidates will have the following skills and experience;
- Expert in all aspects of project and business Risk Management facilitation.
- Able to build risk models in a number of applications which accurately represent the complexities of cost, schedule and business risk.
- Able to coach and challenge management and non-specialists with the results of risk management.
- Knowledge of risk management techniques.
- Knowledge of project management and project control processes.
- Membership of the Institute of Risk Management or Association for Project Management Risk Practitioner would be advantageous.
- Experience of the software used (ARM, primavera etc.) would be advantageous.
